B2B AI service startup ZETIC.ai announced on the 21st that it recently secured seed funding from Korea Investment Accelerator and The Ventures. The investment amount remains undisclosed. ZETIC.ai plans to use the funds to hire AI developers and other personnel to enhance its products and prepare for global market expansion.
ZETIC.ai has developed a serverless AI solution called 'ZETIC.Melange,' which allows AI models to run directly on mobile devices without the need for expensive GPU servers.
Developers can easily integrate AI models into their apps using the Melange solution. Additionally, when clients provide their AI models and data, ZETIC.ai optimizes them and converts them into software libraries suitable for the chips in each Android and Apple device. This process replaces all server operations with internal library operations, effectively eliminating server costs.
Furthermore, Melange maximizes the performance of AI models by utilizing neural processing units (NPUs) from various systems on chips (SoCs). It optimizes not only Qualcomm chips, commonly used in Android devices, but also Apple's A-series and M-series chips. This not only reduces costs but also improves processing speeds on mobile devices and enhances data security, thereby strengthening privacy protection.
Yeonseok Kim, CEO of ZETIC.ai, cited an example from an alpha test client, stating, "For startups providing voice recognition AI services, cloud costs can amount to 10 million won per month or over 100 million won annually. The burden increases as the number of users grows."
He added, "ZETIC.ai aims to eliminate the burden of service costs by converting cloud AI services into on-device AI services, creating an environment where AI services can be developed freely."
